The short film — Mojave Air & Space Port: The Modern Day Kitty Hawk — is produced and directed by Tara Tucker. The video will be available exclusively on AllThingsAero.com, a leading aviation and aerospace website, as well as on their YouTube channel.

Kitty Hawk, North Carolina was the spot where the Wright Brothers conducted the first powered flight of an airplane in 1903. Just over one hundred years later in 2004, SpaceShipOne made the first private, manned spaceflight from the Mojave Air & Space Port. Now ten years since that historic space flight, an emerging aerospace business has developed – much like the aviation business began in earnest ten years after the Wright Brothers had their successful first flight.

Mojave Air & Space Port CEO Stuart Witt is featured in the video highlighting three Mojave success stories — including Jeff Greason, Co-Founder and CEO of XCOR Aerospace; George Whitesides, CEO of Virgin Galactic; and Kevin Mickey, CEO of Scaled Composites.
